MEASURE FIRST. CHOOSE BETTER.
Use a flexible measuring tape and keep it comfortably against your body without pulling it too tightly. Measure while standing naturally.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape straight and comfortably positioned.
Thigh
Measure around the fullest part of one thigh while standing naturally.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of your leg to the desired trouser length.
Outseam
Measure from the top of your waistband down the outside of your leg to the desired hem.

Use a Soft Tape
A flexible measuring tape follows your body more accurately than a rigid ruler.
Stand Naturally
Keep your normal posture and avoid pulling your stomach in while measuring.
Don't Pull Too Tight
Keep the tape comfortably close to your body without squeezing.
Measure Twice
Repeat each important measurement to reduce the chance of choosing the wrong size.

Lay Them Flat
Place your jeans on a flat surface and smooth the fabric without stretching it.
Check the Waist
Measure straight across the waistband while the jeans are lying flat.
Check the Inseam
Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg along the inside seam.
